Ilie Mihali was born in Romania in 1976. He has lived and worked in the United Kingdom since 2003. He graduated in 1999 from the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, and a year later completed his postgraduate studies at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. More recently, in 2020, he graduated from the University of Suffolk, UK, with a degree in Mental Health Nursing.

Reality is only a sensation; often, illusion is much closer to the truth. Inspiration is diverse and fragmented, much like life itself. An interplay of multiple layers and intersecting lines represents the dominant characteristics of my work.
