Yana Bachynska, also known as Jan Bačynsjkyj (b. 1991), is a Ukrainian visual artist, curator, and director whose practice focuses on reinterpreting dominant narratives from a queer perspective. She employs the method of induction, starting from individual experience to reach the collective, aiming to achieve a form of wholeness within contradictions.

Graduated in philosophy from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2013) and in multimedia from the Academy of Arts in Szczecin (2019). She is the co-founder of Queer.War.Archive (2024) and the Art Platform (2013), through which she has actively engaged in combating gentrification by creating a non-governmental cultural center.
